Financial Institution Notice powers – HMRC issue report on their use

HMRC have issued a report on the use of Financial Institution Notices.

The report will consider:

• the effectiveness of the FIN in improving HMRC’s international information request response times; and
• the impact of the FIN on financial institutions and customers including the number of notices issued.
